Apple released iOS 17.1.1 on November 7, and although it doesn’t include any new features, it fixes a few iPhone issues and bugs. One of the fixes concerns a wireless charging issue experienced by some iPhone users.
To download the update, go to Settings > General > Software Updatefaucet Install now and follow the on-screen prompts.
Apple’s update fixes an issue that causes some iPhone 15 features, like Apple Pay, to not work after wireless charging in some vehicles. The update also fixes an issue that prevents the Weather lock screen widget from correctly displaying the snow symbol.
While some iPhone users said on Reddit, it is unclear if this is a widespread problem. CNET has contacted Apple for comment. However, Apple has already stated This is not unusual and it may take up to 48 hours for your iPhone’s apps and features to adapt to a new update.
