Taipei, Taiwan —Governor Phil Murphy today witnessed the creation of new academic partnerships between Rutgers University, New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), a university leading research institute in Taiwan. The agreements, signed during the New Jersey Governor-led economic mission to East Asia, strengthen academic collaboration and improve universities’ research capabilities.

An agreement was signed on October 20, 2023 by Anthony M. Calcado, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Rutgers University, and Sea-Fue Wang, president of National Taipei University of Technology, to form a partnership between the Rutgers University School of Engineering and Taipei Technology. An additional agreement was reached between NJIT and Taipei Tech, signed by Teik C. Lim, president of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Sea-Fue Wang, president of the National Taipei University of Technology.

The agreement between NJIT and Taipei Tech establishes a joint research protocol initiative for academic collaboration between the two universities.
