8×8 announced its new partner ecosystem that will allow organizations to integrate technologies such as AI into its unified communications platform to improve business intelligence, insights and analytics.
The new 8×8 technology partner ecosystem was designed to democratize next-generation integrations without requiring complex, custom development or expensive overhead, 8×8 said.
New integrations with more than 20 new partners allow businesses of all sizes to add customizable AI-powered experiences to help them achieve their customer experience goals.
“Organizations expect their technology solutions and vendors to innovate, adapt and evolve to meet the current and future needs of their business and customers,” said Hunter Middleton, chief product officer at 8×8.
“We are thrilled to announce the 8×8 Technology Partner Ecosystem, and even more excited to partner with so many innovative and industry-leading CX providers.
“The program complements our native AI-driven 8×8 XCaaS platform capabilities, giving businesses the flexibility to create the right solutions to meet and exceed their customer experience goals.”
The move comes as the pace of innovation in AI is rapidly accelerated by “billions of dollars of venture-backed investments in thousands of startups,” according to founder and analyst Zeus Kerravala principal of ZK Research.
“Being locked into a single communications provider’s AI technology prevents organizations from truly benefiting from the phenomenal pace of innovation happening,” he said.
“8×8’s new technology partner ecosystem makes it easy for businesses to integrate the right AI solutions that best meet their business needs and transform contact center and customer engagement.
The ecosystem is based on the open 8×8 experience communications-as-a-service (XCaaS) architecture, an integrated cloud contact center and a unified communications platform that brings together contact center, business telephony, video conferencing, team chat and SMS functionalities.
8×8 said it now has over 30 members in total, thanks to the latest additions from Cognigy, avoirra, Awaken, Balto, Converse360, Cresta, Engage Hub, LogicDialog, PromptVoice, Roboyo, Skybox Communications and Syndeo.
The partner network aims to help customers break down data barriers and surface data across a variety of applications and interfaces, as well as ensure conversational context is maintained during any transfer between XCaaS platform and partner integrations.
Ultimately, 8×8’s goal is for customers to be able to access next-generation technology, create tailored solutions without expensive custom development, as well as take advantage of seamless and organized integrations.
Members of the technology partner ecosystem will also be able to collaborate on go-to-market strategiesincluding promotional support, sales enablement, joint field engagements and lead sharing.
“Customers want to engage in new channels and through emerging technologies. We are therefore delighted to partner with 8×8 to deliver transformative AI-powered digital and voice solutions. CX solutions to their global customer base by leveraging Cognigy’s conversational and cutting-edge solutions Generative AI automation platform,” said Hardy Myers, senior vice president of business development and strategy at Cognigy.
