Bard, Google’s AI chatbot, is becoming more useful after a lackluster introduction. The bot’s YouTube integration is now get a convenient upgrade so it can analyze individual videos to surface specific information for you, like key points or recipe ingredients, without ever pressing play. From a report: This is a potentially extremely useful tool, but one that could raise more concerns about generative AI for creators. To try it, I turned Bard to a YouTube video that I regularly refer to for spiritual guidance: America’s Test Kitchen’s recipe for an Espresso Martini. Seriously, it’s really good. I often find myself in my kitchen with half the ingredients in a shaker, trying to remember how much Benedict I’m supposed to add, then watching the video again to find out. But with Bard on the case, all I have to do is type in a few prompts and a viola – I have the full list of ingredients and some step-by-step instructions.
Bard can now watch YouTube videos for you
