Assistant Secretary for Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance Mallory Stewart to Visit San Francisco, Stanford University, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), and the University of California in Berkeley, during the week of October 24 to 27.
While in the Bay Area, she will participate in industry and academic roundtables focused on emerging technologies and arms control. Deputy Secretary Stewart will also discuss shared defense and global security priorities with LLNL officials and deliver remarks at a workshop at UC Berkeley. The workshop will examine the challenges and prospects for arms control and cooperation in the current geopolitical environment.
